The central heating temperature dial on my Vaillant EcoTec Pro 28 has come out and although it goes back in, it does no increase or decrease the temperature anymore.
Can easily get a replacement dial and slot it back in or is it a more complex issue and need an engineer to open the boiler for replacing ?
Thanks

If I this is the same boiler I had in my previous house then this is a common problem. Twice I had the temperature knob break off in less than 18 months!
The first time I called out the engineer & he told me off for controlling the temperature this way. Now I'd always had Vaillant boilers in the past (different models) & they were controlled in this very way & none of the knobs had ever broken off.
Anyway, you should be able to order spare dial knobs & just slot it in yourself. I know when I ordered mine after the 2nd one broke, they came in packs of two. (probably because they know that the design will mean it's likely to break again!)The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Does your CH system not have a roomstat and TRVs? No need to touch the 'knobs' on the boiler.0
