Debenhams Travel Exchange Poor Service

Options
Followed the very useful advice on here to compare rates before buying travel money. Debenhams offering best rate plus £5 voucher to spend in store. This is a special deal for those of us arriving through this website and printing a voucher. No need to pre-order US dollars either as they keep them in stock. Great!

Travelled to the nearest Debenhams Travel Exchange, a round trip of 22 miles, only to find they ran out of US dollars the day before and it takes them two days to re-order.

Surely this must from happen from time to time, so why not advise people to telephone first rather than say they keep US dollars in stock.

Emailed Debenhams to complain and awaiting their response with interest!

No stock is infinite and it could be they had a run on Dollars that day - maybe they were all on the same flight as you. :)

It is the same as at my local shop which does hot sausage rolls, but it only cooks about 24 at a time. I feel sorry for anybody who comes in after me looking for them because I buy the lot - my staff like a mid morning sausage roll :)

I always thought that it was wise to order currency beforehand. I guess if you just want a few hundred quids' worth of Euros you'll be OK, but anything else I've always ordered.
