Weekday Lodger Agreement

Hello

Does anyone have or can tell me where I can find a Weekday Lodger Agreement template please? Have searched online but can only find standard lodger agreements.

Thanks

    Unlikely to find one.

Write your own or adapt a lodger agreement.

You'll be fine as long as you clearly state
    *the property address
    *rent,
    *deposit
    *names,
    *notice period(short!);
    *permitted occupanacy day/nights
    * and then ALL the house rules you want
  • It isn't even necessary to have a formal written lodgers agreement, it's just for clarification of what you are agreeing to provide and at what price plus a few guidelines about how you expect your home to be treated. No lodgers agreement can give them any rights they don't already have in law without one. Which are few. Very, very few.

By 'weekday' do you mean the lodger has got to clear his room every weekend leaving the room available for other uses?

If not, then why specify weekdays only. Just treat him as a normal full time lodger.

    ^^

    What Jamie said...
  • Yes by weekday they vacate the room every Friday.

Thanks for replies guys. I guess I will have to adapt standard lodger agreement.

Don't see why these are the only 2options.It's up to the landlord:

    1) 5 nights; clear room fri night and leave room empty at w/e for re-letting
    2) 7 nights; up to lodger how often he sleeps there
    3) 5 nights; but lodger allowed to leave stuff in room at w/e

3 might well suit a LL who wants privacy/peace at weekends but also the continuity of a long-term lodger. No reason the lofger agreement should not specify this.

I had a lodger (tenant..?? - in an annexe so that's a whole different debate!) who went home every weekend to her husband, but was permenant with me for 18 months.
