Bridesmaid's dress dilemma

My friend, the bride, has a problem - She has 3 bridesmaids 22, 16 and 15, the 15 year old is a size 18 the other 2 are 10/12. The 2 older girls went to pick the dresses, but the 15 year old was busy. It is a June wedding and a latte colour was picked which matches the colour scheme.
Now my friend is paying for the dresses and has put down a £300 deposit, now that the dresses are made up the 22 and 15 don't like the colour, but my friend loves it and it matches the colour scheme. They want dark dresses.
What would you do?

Not much she can do now, the dresses have been bought and paid for, so they will have to get over it!0

If she's paying for it it's her choice. Unless they are going to fork out for them themselves it's tough I'd say.

Since they're not paying for the dresses, I think they should suck it up and wear them. I might have some sympathy if the issue was that the dress was unflattering and the bridesmaids felt self conscious in it, but it's literally just that they don't like the colour. I'm sure many a bridesmaid has not liked the colour or style of their dress, but that's just how it is.
Must say I'm a bit confused though- didn't the 22 year old pick out that dress? If so it's an utter cheek for her to say otherwise now it's been paid for!0 -
The bridesmaids need to toughen up. There is no colour so awful that you can insist someone else lose £300 rather than wear it.0

Tell them they have a choice, wear it or back out of being a bridesmaid.
I think they are pretty ignorant even saying that they don't like the colour to be honest.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Tough... they shouldn't agree to be bridesmaids then should they!
Not sure what their dress size had to do with the story though...? or even their specific age?:jBaby Boy born December 20120 -

To give as much info as possible to garner an accurate response. You can't win on MSE these days if I hadn't put enough info I would have been damned, but actually size is important as one of the feelings is that perhaps darker would flatter the 15 year old more.0 -

Myth I believe... its the cut that matters... colour is more relevant to skin tone... please provide more info on skin tone:jBaby Boy born December 20120 -
Just remind them all whose day it is and whose payingFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0

When it comes to bridesmaids dresses it is tricky but what you have done is correct and only two points matter.
- All three bridesmaids were given the opportunity to be involved in the selection process(the fact one of them couldn't or chose not to attend doesn't change that)
- The bridesmaids are not paying for the dresses.
If you hadn't done both of those I would say that I could understand but the fact you did both things means they either like it or lump it in my opinion.0
