Adding an additional user (Santander 123 Credit Card)

in Credit cards
I have one of these cards & i added the wife as an additional user. She can't view the details in her Santander online account. When i questioned it i was told that this is because the account is mine, not hers, even though she's an additional card holder & can use the account.
My mum spends a bit at the supermarket & petrol station & said she'd have one (additional - to my account) if possible.
Questions are:
* Does she get credit checked just to be an additional holder?
* Will we then become financially linked on credit files?
Or do the above 2 not apply to additional holders because they're not actually the account holder?

No credit checks for additional cardholders and no financial association.0

Do you mean you want 2 additional cards on your primary account? There's no reason why it couldn't be done, but the card company may have policies that restrict the number of cards issued.0

Thanks. I've enquired anyway so i'll see what they say.0

Had to call them.
Apparently i am allowed 2 additional users.
Strange that when they asked if my mum was a Santander account holder & i said yes that they just took my word for it & didn't ask for her sort code & account number or whatever.0 -
Why would they need her details? The spending is on your account. It is possible that they were only asking so they could target her with marketing if she wasn't a customer.0

For the record, Santander say you can have 3 additional users "at no extra cost".0
