Keep your cat away from the kids silly putty
Mine has excema, sensitive skin and very cold patch now. Wasn't even my kids.

Oh the poor puss! that looks very nasty!
What a beautiful cat! whats his name? I love ginger cats - my favourite colour!
hmmm - makes you wonder if its safe for kids too!0 -
He is really sore meri. He has 10 days of antibiotic cream as it had burnt (vets words) his skin. He's my sons cat, and is aptly called Ferno after the dragon from a kids story book set!! he is the most gentle, beautifully mannered cat I have ever known.“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. Aww bless him! Thanks for the warning, it's not something I'd have thought about.
Hope Ferno makes a swift recovery. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
His bald spot isn't looking as sore this morning, but he's definitely feeling a bit sorry for himself. He'll be right as rain in no time though.
Just need to sort out the [STRIKE]!!!!!![/STRIKE] kids next door now as we suspect they did this to him on purpose. (My kids don't have this out, I hid it in a drawer a LONG time ago)
Banjo, it's the stuff that's a liquid when warm and dries as a soft solid (IYKWIM), so when they lick it to get rid of it, it matts into their fur. Evil stuff“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. Ferno , appropriate and lovely name for a ginge!
I am glad to hear he is a little better today! funny thing but all except one of the ginger cats I have known have been gentle creatures, including my current cat Barney.
the exception was my Best Friends cat when I was a child. his name was 'Old Ginge' and he had a terrible reputation - yet he was gentle as a lamb with me.
(yes he was named 'Old Ginge' as a kitten - as he never played and behaved like a grumpy old man!)0 -
What have they put in his fur exactly?0

Tbh, he may well have had it coming, He can be a bit of a playful toad and chases other cats. he wonders into their house and may play with (read torment) their cat.
Meritan, he is a right character but has def lost his mojo at the moment. Letting me put his cream on twice a day though, and being very good about not licking it off!“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. oh bless him that looks really painful for him, not to mention expensive for you, not that will be of concern to you at the moment.
Thanks for the warning my ds had some he loved it but I threw it away, it got everywhere
I am now just grateful the cat keeps out of his way.
Hope he makes a speedy recovery0 -
It was just under the insurance excess (isn't it always!!). Like you say we had no choice. Couldn't deal with it at home without hurting him.“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what.
