Probably a stupid question but what would/could you do if your original will got lost in the post on its way to the probate office, even though it is sent recorded delivery

Ask the Sol who drew it up for a second copy, post the first, get confirmation of receipt, file the second copy unsigned?0

But will the probate service accept an unsigned will even with a proof of posting for the original package which included the original signed will, I cant believe one has never been lost in the post at some pointMember #11 of the SKI-ers club0

Take the will to any solicitors and ask them to make a certified copy of it. This will be a photocopy with each page signed and stamped by a solicitor. This should be acceptable if the original goes astray.0
