    Thank you everyone!
    It's 20th July, 5 nights.
Luton to Palma - Easyjet - 0600 flight out, 1615 flight back.
Hotel is the Ferrera Blanca 4 star AI in a suite. For 2 adults.

I can book it all on the Easyjet website, including the hotel, but I read somewhere that this isn't ATOL protected? Is this right?

    Thank you again!

Easy jet book on their website, hotel wise where do you get the best price? If direct I'd book direct through them. I also use Expedia a lot. Or you could see easy jet website if you wish.

Then as soon as you've booked get your travel insurance. Don't wait which is a mistake people often make.

I have booked that hotel direct with Mar hotels and it was £600 cheaper than buying a package. This is the link and it has a discount code for early booking. You can also pick your room if you book direct.

ETA JULY 20th for 5 nights in a suite works out at E1161 for 2 people booked direct.

Hi, Cala D'or is a lovely resort, although the beaches are a bit small. Don't forget to book your transfer, i think its £20 each by coach or about £130 return in a taxi.

You may want to check your local high street for an independent trave agents. They will be able to book all the aspects of your holiday, inc flights, and match the prices you have been quoted. Give it a try - you will also get the benefit of ATOL protection.

With respect, for short haul, short duration trips the independent TA has had their day. If you have decent travel insurance you will be covered for most eventualities.

I would only ever use a TA for putting together specialist multi flight long haul trips or we use a US TA for cruises as their terms are much better than anything any UK TA can offer.

For the hotel mentioned here when we stayed there doing it independently saved over £600 v what the local TA could offer.

    Poet123,
I have to disagree. My TA matched one trip sourced online and beat another by £30.00.
Doesn't always happen, but for a first time trip abroad, and a honeymoon, I would advise trying them - it could save the OP time and trouble when they have other things to engage in.

That hasn't been my experience, but each to their own. It is very simple to book flights/accom online now.

But then you also had the downsides of buying through an agent. Unless you don't know what you're doing, that isn't worth £30 IMO.

No need to go through a middle man unless they can save you a fortune.

There are so many posts on here with people having issues with agents because they were too worried to book themselves.

Its not exactly hard to go on the Easy jet website and book a flight.
