Replacement advice for BAXI back boiler/Gas front heater needed

I have a 14 year old Baxi 45/4 back boiler, with sp3 gas front heater (both working fine), which we would like to replace because the front heater, attached to the back boiler is looking dated. The reviews for the new Baxi bbu back boiler is mixed. I could simply get rid of the front heater and replace it with a stand alone electric one. Any advice on long term solution which does not cost heaps of money will be appreciated.
