Have you looked at a list of transactions so you can see if there are any transactions for 11p?Early retired - 18th December 2014

Some companies will preauthorise a small amount prior to going for the full amount, this is normally under $1.
Assuming the authorisation is received they then take the full amount. The preauthorised amount is never claimed by the merchant and so the authorisation drops off after a few days and the funds "return" to your account (they've never actually left, they've just been ringfenced).
I wouldnt be surprised if this is whats happening with BHS but I'd be more surprised about a credit card issuer doing it0 -
Hi hope this is the right place to post,
tonight I ordered some items totalling £12.40 from BHS, I checked my online banking to see if the amount had been debited, my account balance was exactly £1000 before transaction so should have been left with £987.60 but balance is showing as £987.49 so there is an 11p discrepancy.
I then made a payment off my credit card with a different account, this account was sitting at £620.60, I paid £20.60 off credit card so should have been left with £600.00 but balance is showing as £599.89 ANOTHER 11p discrepancy??
both my bank accounts are with the same bank.
I know its only 11p difference on each account but this is not right can anyone tell me what is going on?? I am afraid to use both my debit cards now!!
Why not give us the whole story, instead of us trying to guess the answer?
So you had balance b/f of £1000 (how convenient)
And now you have a balance c/f of £987.60
Now list the individual transactions and their amounts please.
Similar goes for your credit card account.
Please notify your bank/credit card provider immediately you see any unrecognised transactions on your respective accounts.

Managed to catch it before the posts were deleted (which as we all know stops other people with the same problem from being able to deal with their issue and results in the same questions being asked over and over).
There was an earmarked transaction for the 'missing' amount. Speaking to the bank (as ever) sorted everything out for the OP.Getting married 02.08.14
