I have been on PIP's before and they have helped me turn my work around in a postive way. They have had no impact on my career except improve my promotion chances and demostrated that I am prepared to listen to advice offeredFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0

What are your performance indicators / allowed margins of error?
What error rates do you have compared to others?
What, in your opinion, contributes to the errors? Workload, distractions, boredom, inability to concentrate?
Do you agree that the errors identified by the checking colleague are indeed errors? Or do you feel they have been wrongly identified as errors? If you do believe that he is wrongly crying 'error' then you need to raise this before the PIP starts and ask for independent checking.
You need to be clear about these areas as they will inform your meeting with HR and your manager.
Only you can balance whether it is better to jump ship now (if you find another job) or wait for the redundancy package - it will depend on the numbers I'd guess.
In the meantime, be perfect... check and double check and challenge any 'errors' that you believe are wrong.:hello:0
