Tell your wife about this tonight. There will never be a right time and if it all goes wrong with you out on your ear it will be harder for her to take when she eventually finds out. Or would you just leave the house and come home at the right time just to cover this up?

Just tell her. It is more important in a way than how you handle the PIP issue.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'
  • Thanks, will do. Do you thinks it worth a try to negociate early redundancy & if so do you think it will work as I have only a 7-8 months left

How long have you worked there? You may only get statutory redundancy pay which is probably a lot less than you think.

Unless you're expecting a decent redundancy payout then if it were me I would be looking for another job now.

He said since 2009. Probably 5 years by the time the redundancy occurs. https://www.gov.uk/calculate-your-redundancy-pay looks useful.

  • Go on the PIP.
Make no errors by double and triple checking your own work.
Get your redundancy in 8 months time.

Someone is checking your work and finding errors!

    Fix the problem.

    check your work
get someone else to check your work before the official check if still not sure.

There is the side issue that your checker may be just doing their job where as others have a checker that lets them fix the errors without highlighting.

This is a process issue, if you think this is worth raising

One way to approach this could be to suggest a rotation of checkers.

I havent made any errors for a while now, do you think I can negociate this with HR?
Does the PIP show up on references or are they allowed to mention this when giving references?

Thanks if only it was that simple, he is the one who checks the work as its only a 2 person team, me & him.
