Uninstall McAfee Security Scan Plus

This blimming awful program downloaded itself when I upgraded flash player (thanks!!)
I have tried uninstalling on the program list, and through control panel, nothing happens???

Please help its slowing everything down!! :(:(

If normal uninstall is failing then download Revo. Freeware version will be adequate. Link

I would use the McAfee Removal Tool:

McAfee does not show up in revo, and the McAfee removal tool did not work :(

We have the same problem, have tried everything to get rid but it still won't go away!

You can uninstall through the McAfee Security Scan Plus folder:
Under Start menu, go to all Programs.
Open McAfee Security Scan Plus folder.
Select “Uninstall”.

You must be an Admin to Uninstall.

A forced uninstall(not available in Revo free) seems to be called for.Revo Uninstaller Pro has a very powerful feature called Forced Uninstall. Forced Uninstall is the best solution when you have to remove stubborn programs, partially installed programs, partially uninstalled programs, and programs not listed as installed at all

Click Forced Uninstall in main toolbar

Tick advanced scanning mode

Type McAfee Security Scan Plus in Programs exact name box

Press next.

and after scan, select/ delete items shown in bold type.

Uninstall Revo
