My employer can't afford to pay me.

Options
Hi, I am new to this forum but thought I'd see if I can get any advice on a current situation at work.

I have been working for my employer for 3 months now, and a few days ago was given a letter to sign saying that if i do sign it, i am agreeing to forego my salary until the company can afford to pay me, all of the employees in my office were given this letter. I have now been told that I must hand this letter in by tomorrow or the company may be forced to make redundancies within the office.

The letter doesn't state when I will get paid, just says HOPEFULLY in Jan 2014, it all sounds a bit shady to me and was wondering if anyone had been in a similar situation or had any advice?

Take the letter and keep it as evidence.
    sign nothing.
You are better going now if they have no money.
Add up the wages you are owed tonight and prepare a letter before county court claim stating what they owe giving 14 days to pay in full.
Hand them this LBCC when they ask for the signed letter, post a second copy with proof of postage.
Tell them to get on and do what they want, but make them decide.
    Hopefully they will sack you.
    Be happy...;)

For once I agree with you
Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked
