Whilst I appreciate all the hard work of the posters that go off and research the competitions and kindly share for everyone so see and enter I am beginning to find myself lost with the sheer volume.
Would it be worth considering introducing some additional search functionality? E.G - when posters are providing details of comps should they have to select Facebook/Twitter/Online Form so people can search on their preference?
I have a tendency to end date comps but with just 12 pages of search results showing quite often the first few pages, sometimes up to 4 or 5 are filled with Twitter. I only enter Twitter comps on quiet days so I am not really interested in them and would even go as far to say that if I can hide them I wouldn't be concerned.
As I said, I do appreciate everyones hard work but was thinking of possible enhancements.

I think that's unlikely to happen. This is an enormous forum, and the comping section is only a very small part of it.
Many changes have been made in the past - there didn't used to be an end date formula, or the tick/cross to see what had been entered.
Perhaps consider trying a dedicated comping forum which may be better suited to what you need?Al Mac Appreciation Society (AMAS) member # 6½

I find it easiest to rearrange the posts alphabetically (click the little triangle next to title) - then just click page numbers until I find the end date I want and work my way through that way...Life is too short to let people get you down :j0

any ideas which page number to roughly start at for today? I have looked but keep going back and forth everywhere!Latest Wins: Teabags 09/01;LEGO 16/09;Fishing Rig 16/09; Salts and Cookbook 04/09; Footie Tickets 02/09; Rioballs 10/08

Particularly at this time of year (advent, advent, advent) I'd like to be able to do a search for threads/posts NOT including a particular term (ie advent) as the comps board is just filled up with hundreds of Advent comps which take hrs to sift through. I;d prefer to be able to search to avoid "advent" so that still have time to go through normal comps then mopve to Advents if time2018 wins : kids tennis set (WOW!)2019 wins - Thank God for TCB - a 10p and a 20p win 2020 - Bettys hamper - very nice, a notebook 2021 - £100 Jacks voucher (Jan)2022 - Bottle of Kiss ginMany many thousands of Twitter and IG entries without a sniff of a prize 2023 NOTHING b]Now well over 2.5 years without any win0

Where has the advent thread gone ? I can't find it0

I think adding any additional complications like this would possibly just put people off posting competitions. It's not such a pain to search through them, after all someone has posted the competition here and usually the answer too, it doesn't take much time... how quick or easy do you want it to be? xxMAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0

The easiest way after a couple if years trying is to do them as posted.
Also for advent time click the cross so I can ignore it when its bumped (as it will be)
So when I come on here I go back x pages to where I finished last time, then do a page, refresh, go back a page etc
May start page 12 do that, refresh cos many could have been posted since I started 12. Then go to page 11 refresh and on.
Can't do by date it confuses me, cos am blonde ya know:j63 mortgage payments to go.
