LED Xmas lights

Does anyone know where I can get some outdoor LED Christmas lights that are not multi-function. I am not against multi-function but they all seem to have a control box that is close to the lights and for outside lights that means it will get wet.

Thanks

Most indoor/outdoor lights would say transformer must be inside. But any multi functions ones that have been indoor/outdoor have always had the control box on the transformer/plug end, thus meaning it could be indoors.

I guess it depends if you wanted coloured, or white, and how many, also how much you want to spend!

Starter kit if you want to add more, but looks a decent length to the control box, if that needs to be inside as well.

Quite a few listed as outdoors here.

I guess if you buy them they should be outdoor suitable, but give indications on what is suitable outside, upto and including a transformer. The other one to look at is rope lighting.

Any outdoors lights with multi function has to be weatherproof, would assume the ones you have seen will be indoor lights.

I bought a 200 set from B&M Bargains and the control box was quite close to the plug end. I suppose there's nothing to stop you adding an extra piece of wiring in, enclosing the joins in waterproof tape or connector like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-AMP-2-Way-Superseal-Electrical-Waterproof-Connector-/140942001112?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20d0cc43d8

Try LED Hut. I haven't gone back and checked their website for details but they are a reputable company were promoting them a few days ago.

I bought a set of (200) outdoor LED lights from Tescos the other day and noticed when testing them today that the Multifunction unit is part of the adapter/plug so these ought to suit your requirement? I didn't check the length of cable to the first light but I would think it's a standard length?

I bought some low voltage ones last Chrimbo from HK and they come with a remote control, so the box is outside but I can operate them from inside !
Were only £18 or so delivered

I had bought some (outdoor) lights in Tesco's that had the control box in the middle of the run of wire, took them back tonight and to have a look at the '200' set, the multi-coloured ones were the same but the clear ones had everything built into the plug, tried the '300' set and low and behold the multi-coloured ones had everything in the plug.

I had assumed that they would be all configured the same - hen will I ever learn not to assume!
