Help from plasterers please!

Options
I have just had a quote from a gent who gave me a labour only cost for plastering work I need doing.

So that I can estimate my costs roughly (as I don't have the first idea!), can anyone give me a ballpark figure of how much materials might cost to do a full reskim of a medium sized two bed semi including reboard of ceilings? Room sizes are roughly 14 x 13, 16 x 11, 14 x 13, 11 x 10 and a very small HSL.

Much appreciated :D

We usually budget on about £7 per wall and ceiling for skim and plaster board is about £4 per sheet. If you go to B&Q and buy >20 you get a discount. If you can drag a pensioner along with you you can get a 10% discount on a Wednesday!

Hi ashli, on average i use approx 4 bags per room (£4.02 each from B n Q),and about 4 boards for the ceilings(about £5-7 each),Drywall screws are about £10-£12 for a box of 500,and your corner beads are about £1.20(B n Q)

Great business opportunity - hire out the inlaws and they get a trip out on Wednesdays!
