Simplest way of getting a ppi refund for my father who has passed away?

Hi has anybody been successful in claiming there ppi for a deceased person? will it be difficult ? will it affect it because they HAVE died and so the insurance would seem to have served its cause OR would it still be mis-sold as my father wouldnt have paid it if he didnt have to? and how do i prove it as i wasnt in the rooms when he was doin all the deals with the banks regarding various loans and credit cards throughout the years? i have bank statements / death certificates etc and im the executer or was a few years ago. When he passed i did manage to claim back insurance you get when a loan is paid off etc or written off in that case which was somthing silly like 1000 but considering he was in debp all his life this certainly wouldnt be the ppi payback. If Martin by any chance reads this...could you contact me personaly. Thanks

yes.will it be difficult ?
more difficult yes.will it affect it because they HAVE died and so the insurance would seem to have served its cause
If the insurance paid out on death then it did serve its purpose. So, it makes it harder to complain that it would never have paid out for example.OR would it still be mis-sold as my father wouldnt have paid it if he didnt have to?
Only your father could make that allegation. Not you or anyone else. So, that would not be a valid complaint reason for a deceased person.and how do i prove it as i wasnt in the rooms when he was doin all the deals with the banks regarding various loans and credit cards throughout the years?
You cant prove it and you dont know the facts. So, you cannot make a complaint suggesting you do (as that would be fraud). When he passed i did manage to claim back insurance you get when a loan is paid off etc or written off in that case which was somthing silly like 1000 but considering he was in debp all his life this certainly wouldnt be the ppi payback.
If debt existed on his death that was written off/settled, then even if you could complain with valid reasons and if that complaint was successful, the amount written off/settled or paid out from a claim would be deducted from the redress. So, you may not see anything anyway.
Any successful payment above that would go to the estate and the executor should pay the money to creditors that had to write amounts off and not distribute it to family members unless all debts were cleared. If Martin by any chance reads this...could you contact me personaly.
That isnt how it works. You post, as you have, and people will respond. Martin does not read posts (there are hundreds of thousands made each day). The board admin may pick up on the odd one and prompt a response but that is rare nowadays. You never see it in the PPI section.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
