Total Parking Solutions: two visits but they thought it's one long one

Hi all, I'm looking for advice on how to force Total Parking Solutions (TPS) to provide evidence with the objective to get them to drop the PCN they sent me.
I made two separate visits of 30 minutes each to the Cambridge Retail Park on 26 Oct. Conveniently TPS took the entry photo of the first visit and the exit photo of the second visit and claimed I stayed there for 5 hours.
In the first visit I made a purchase at Halfords and second visit I returned items at Dunelm Mill. I have receipts for both.
It's hard to prove I didn't stay there the whole time because between those two visits I only took my daughter to swimming lesson and stayed at home the rest of the time.
I raised an appeal through TPS but they rejected it claiming their system is operating normally on that date and insisted I only made one visit. This is completely untrue.
Is it possible to ask TPS to provide proof that their system is not broken? Or provide every single photo of my car on that day?
Any suggestion for "authoritative wording" would also be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

Yep, text book scam they operate, you are wasting your breath trying to make them admit it, they ruddy well know this is what you did .Be happy...;)0

I would appeal as keeper saying that the driver visited twice and give them approximate times of first exit and second entry for them to check their records. If they don't want to cancel the ticket, then send you a POPLA ticket.0

Yes TPS gave me a POPLA ticket as part of rejecting my appeal.
But now I have doubts about convincing the POPLA investigator about my case because I actually don't have much evidence that I made two visits instead of one.
Is there a way to ask POPLA to request evidence from TPS that they have a valid claim?
Many thanks.0 -
yep, its time to wise up , play them at their own game and win at POPLA if they dont bow out first (which they havent)
obviously , the trick is to word the POPLA appeal so that the onus is on them to prove that their allegations are true, their GEOPL is true , their anpr and equipment is calibrated and working properly, prove the entries and exits for the day etc
basically, you trip them up on any technicality you can, even if its not the one they allege
doesnt matter how you win, just that you do
read parking-pranksters blogs on this practice of "double-dipping", like Highview
also read the popla sticky thread from the end backwards. and the coupon-mad sticky threads , look at examples of previous POPLA appeals and post up your drafts for checking first
you will win, just depends on what0 -

I wouldn't be too concerned about trying to convince POPLA about the true circumstances, in fact if you persist just on that single appeal point, unless TPS come clean with POPLA, you will most certainly lose.
You need to frame your appeal around the following:
No genuine pre-estimate if loss (GPEOL)
Inadequate signage
No proprietary interest in the land
No contract with landowner to pursue charges in their own right.
You might be scratching your head about these terms, but if you read Coupon-mad's 'Newbies' sticky at the top of the forum index, especially the How to Win at POPLA section, you will soon get the hang of things.
As frustrating as it is, mitigation just does not work in this game. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

POPLA are a kangaroo court run by parking companies.
There are points that may win at popla, but the parking scammers been a bunch of lying thieving ******** is not one of them.
Someone will be along to help you construct a POPLA appeal that the kanaroo judges at POPLA may accept.Be happy...;)0 -
If you look at the first post here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816165 you will not only find a selection of standard appeal points but at the end there is a link to c-m ' s ANPR paragraph. Use relevant bits from that.
When you appeal to POPLA also demand that, as the PPC has a vested interest in the matter, POPLA can not accept their statement that you made only one trip and demand that they supply an original electronic copy of the comings and goings of the vehicles for 15 minutes either side of your first exit and second entry. Without it, there is a he says she says situation.0 -

Thanks for pointing that out. The ANPR paragraph is very useful and I'll definitely include a version of that in my appeal to POPLA - if it comes to that.
Just sent an email to Halfords CEO see if he can do anything. I tried their Social Media team in Facebook but they're not interested.0 -
What? The Social media team on Halfords FB page have always stepped in until now?! Look in the Successful Complaints about PPCs' sticky thread!
Maybe this car park is one with more than one retailer, where your complaint in fact needs to go to the Centre Management instead.
Also please search this forum for the acronym 'TPS' as a keyword and read other threads here because we have had recent ones and I am pretty sure we've identified the NTK is not compliant in wording which gives you another appeal point.
And you can see examples of POPLA appeals in the NEWBIES sticky thread in the link 'how to win at POPLA'. Make sure you word it as a winning one.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes the Facebook team says they can only help if the ticket is due to Halfords fitting something in my car. This is a retail park with multiple retailers. I've tried emailing the managers of the centre management but they've ignored me as well.
Thanks.0
