This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

Morning all!
I slept most of the weekend and seem to have spent the bits when I wasn't asleep eating chocolate. Which was nice but not good for the waistline! I'm feeling much better this morning and able to cope with the week ahead.
M is doing really well at home and says she is now mobile without her stick or the zimmer frame which has given her a real boost. The stroke team will be working with her this week the aim being to get her out and about again.
It's cleaning day today so I'll be out all morning and then Mr A is delivering tonight.
Best wishes to everyone and I hope you all have a good OS day.Household: Laura + William-cat

Good morning everyone, couldn't sleep last night , no idea why so thought I might as well get up and do some quiet jobs so as not to wake the teens and dogs . Have washed my bedding and now have a towel load in, think the bedding will be able to go on line for a few hours towels will be hung on clothes horse. Have drs at 11 for a blood test to check my thyroid as have an under active one hopefully mess won't be increased take enough tablets to make me rattle. Dinner will be cottage pie and veggies with jam sponge and custard for pud. Hope everyone is well and have a good start to the week0

Good morning everyone
I am running late but notjustlaura and scarlettsmum have both had an early start.
Rosie Rabbit is still hanging in there.
Trying to get back onto low carb eating this week but with a cold and work the way it is, am making no real promises
Judi, I have lost my smileys too. I have to type the code or copy and paste them in.
Need to be in early and make some time up so better dash. Will pop back in later to see our lovely advent calendar for today and catch up on news.
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep well, warm and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

The christening was lovely yesterday, there were lots of people though so I escaped a couple of times. Not during the service! I sit near the back of the church so I can nip out if I absolutely need to, but I think it's rude so I hang on as long as possible and try to pretend that there's no other people around me
I've been out three times over the weekend, that's a bit much for me. I had to speak to actual people A LOT. I need a week to recoverI've got the next few days to myself and there's nowhere I have to be, so I'll enjoy the peace and quiet.
Just the usual housework today, but with a bit more effort because it's mondayI love giving the house a good sort out after the weekend, by lunchtime it's all fresh and tidy. And at this time of year, it feels cosy and relaxing.

Morning all
Tru, thanks for the Christmas song, I look forward to it every morning.
No frost here but it's chilly, fish fed, hubby & I have a cuppa each, he's still in bed as he's on the late shift, he'll cook his own breakfast, I'll wait til I get to work for my free porridge.
I should have had my appraisal last week but my line manager was off sick, maybe it will be this week.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning everyone and dark and chilly one hear this morning I have already spoken to my eldest gorgeous DD as its her 46th birthday today.I can't believe I have a DD who is 46
:):).My youngest will be 44 on the 19th.So I had two December babies
:)
Feeling a bit bleugh this morning as my lymphodema arm has flared up, so its back on the anti-bios again for a week.I haven't had a flare-up for months, blooming nuisance really. The tiniest scratch on my bad arm just sets it off.So I have one normal sized one, and my right arm is bright red and four times the size and rather painful.Apart from taking the tablets nother else can be done unfortunately.Still I'm alive and kicking which is one good thing:)
Hope everyone has a great Monday.I have the school run then wodges of wrapping to do this morning as three of my DGS are arriving this afternoon to set up my tree, don't want any little boys peeking at things:)
Have a good'un whatever you are doing

Good Morning,
I've been up since 4,30am waiting for Daisy to wake up... By 6.15am it was too much and I woke her for a feed... She'd slept 8,5 hours and she's only 17 days old! I thought 7 hours yesterday was good! Not worried as she's feeds VERY well during the day, more then recommended :S
Anyway, today is my first day home alone with the girls. I have to make and restock the bread in the fridge and freezer, do the washing (oh joy!) and cook dinner tonight (cottage pie).
I wish everyone health and happiness today xWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -

Good Morning All
Jackieo - hope the anti b's kick in soon.
Cold dark Monday morning here, feeling quite tired as had a good but very hectic weekend. Spent a little too much so must be very organised and watch the pennies more this week.
Am off to pick up my new car today, always hated my current car, I went for a small engine thinking it would be economic but it wasnt. The new car is diesel and I will get double the mileage. Also it is tax free :j
So probably wont get much done today as will keep finding errands where I need to drive :rotfl: we live in quite a rural area so its 20 minutes before we get anywhere.
No idea what is for dinner, need to empty out the freezers for Xmas stuff so will have a route around soon - the big freezer is in the garage and I dont want to go out there yet.:o
Better get another coffee down me and jump in the shower, have a good one.x0 -
Morning All
TTFTM - Glad to hear Rosie is still with us.
tru - Have a good rest.
JulieG - Well done baby!!
Hugs and best wishes to everyone.
Today is D Day, should get confirmation from Solicitors today unless evil next door neighbour has something else up his sleeve!
Enjoyed my sleep last night, I think it was because the bedding had been mostly dried outside yesterday and smelled lovely and fresh. Small things!
Have a good week everyone. Take care.0
