Investment in luxury products?

Hi,
I am looking for a way to invest in shares of the companies that produce luxury products, and would like a dollar-denominated investment vehicle. I looked at a selection of ETFs in this sector (listed on the Morningstar site) but their past performance had varied dramatically, and I couldn't work out why.
Any ideas?
