The first thing to do when you find yourself in a hole is to stop digging.

Yes you are.Does anyone know if I'm allowed to post the link on the Charity board on here?
I hope at the very least that you'd get your hair cut for free if you ask the hairdresser. They might let you put a collection tin in the salon too, if you can get one from LPT.
When I had my practically waist length cut short, I booked in on a 'charity day' so that at least if I hated it I knew the cost of having it done had gone to a good cause.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I don't know about getting it cut for free? If they offer, I'll just donate the price of the haircut!
I'm heading over to the charity board to post my link!0 -
Might your local radio station be interested in giving it a mention?0

Another good idea! Thanks!0

Max, that's an amazing thing to do :T Do try and get the local press on board, remember it's not about you it's about all the kids that really, really need wigs - they feel a lot worse without hair than you could ever possibly feel about you image. Remember - It's all about them! I hope you raise £1000.00That's brilliant, thank you! I'm 36, so no school...lol But I'm going to share my page at work with a company-wide email (got permission from big boss). I'm a little nervous about contacting the press really..I don't have much confidence in my image, so not keen on having my photo in the paper! An amateur photographer friend of mine is coming along to the hairdresser's to take before/after pictures though, to share on FB.
I will ask my local shops, that's a good idea!
Oh, and I had set my target at £100...a little naive probably, since I only created a couple hours ago and I'm at £70 already! I will raise the target in the next few days I think.
.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
I have now contacted my local paper (I was so nervous...), they took all the details and said they will call me to let me know if they decide to do a piece on the fundraising tomorrow, in which case they'll send a photographer at the hairdresser's! Whoop!!!0
