The worst are 'watchers' who send 'has it sold?' messages on BIN items, seemingly within a few moments of someone else buying it. Happened on a few occasions. Odd behavior and has happened twice in last 10 days.

This question comes up time & time again on here. I like to watch items that have a BIN sometimes just out of plain curiosity to see if anyone is tempted or at other times because I'm considering selling something similar & want to know how realistic the price they are expecting to get is. Then sometimes I'm just doing price comparisons on an item I'm after & wanting to ensure I get the best deal.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I've had a couple people contact me after I'd sold items on bin saying" oh have you sold this?"
    What's THAT about!

I'm certain other sellers of the same item do use watch lists to maintain their position.

also as others have said a BIN price is not fixed,

I will start at a high price and slowly over 30 days drop the price either until I get a buyer or i've got to the lowest i'm willing to let it go to.

Because you're interested in the BIN item but don't want to/can't buy it just yet. It's easy to find if you put it in your watch list.

  • I watch BIN items when I want them, but haven't got the cash to pay for them quite yet. That way, when payday rolls round, I can simply go straight to them, and pay straight away.

I like to have things delivered when I'm likely to be at home to receive them, to save either bothering the neighbours or going to the depot to pick them up.

Therefore, if there's something I want to buy, I might put it on my watch list, then buy it a few days later, for convenient delivery.

  • I watch BIN items for several reasons - could be I want it but can't afford it just yet so will buy it at another time, sometimes I'm bidding on something but there is another on BIN therefore if I don't win the auction I can then go straight and buy it - my husband watches BIN for present ideas as does my daughter (got quite a bit of their shopping done just from what they've whacked in the watch list!), endless reasons really!
