Hi ,can anybody tell me if there is a way of checking how many shares my wife holds in Tesco ,she has lots of share certificates going back to when she left the company in 2003 she gets a dividend payment a couple of times a year ,just wondered if there was anywhere I could phone with the account number on the share certificates to find out exact figure:xmastree:

It's easy to check if you have dividends, find out what the last divi/share was, use this figure and divide it by the last divended payment
eg last divi/share 10p last dividend payment £100 therefore 1000 shares.
But yes there should be a registrar listed somewhere on the divi letter.

How can I find out how many Tesco shares I hold?
Simply ring Equiniti on 0871 384 2977 within the UK, or log on to www.shareview.co.uk. Alternatively you can request details of your shareholding by writing to Equiniti, Aspect House, Spencer Road, Lancing Business Park, Lancing, West Sussex, BN99 6DA. You will need to quote your shareholder reference number, which can be found at the top of your share certificates.
