Code 40 Ticket but Unclear Signage?

I am the owner and registered keeper and have today (Sunday) received a Penalty Charge Notice on my windscreen from the council stating a Code 40 offence, parked in a designated disabled person's parking place without clearly displaying a valid disabled person's badge.

However, the sign (of which I took a photo) states:

Disabled badge holders only at all times
Mon-Sat
8am-6pm
3 hours
No return within 3 hours

I took this to mean that I could park there outside of Monday to Saturday. If I am in the wrong, then I will pay the ticket and accept my error, however would appreciate advice as to whether this sign is non-conforming.

I did a search here before posting but came up with nothing.

PePiPoo is the best place to take council ticket queries to. They have a team that specialises in them.

Be prepared to upload photos/scans of all paperwork you've received (all sides) and do that as part of your opening thread. I'm sure you'll get great advice over there.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The sign appears to say that disabled can park there . And you can park there mon-sat 8am to 6pm for 3 hours, with no return within 3 hours. It being Sunday it means you've been ticketed as you did not have a disabled badge on display
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I think that what it is meant to indicate is that only disabled badge holders may park there at any time but Mon-Sat 8am-6pm they may park for a maximum of 3 hours but can stay longer outside of those hours.

It is ambiguous so definitely worth appealing & http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=SF&f=30 is definitely the right place to go for best advice.

I am a BB holder and its definitely ambiguous to me

I believe it is what the last post said having read it again and his reply too , LOL

that way it would free up the space more quickly in the busy periods of the week

this part being the most important to any person parking there

Disabled badge holders only at all times

I would need to see a picture of this sign, they must be separate signs, they can be on on plaque with dividing lines, but they can not put all that info all on one sign.
It has to be a permitted variant, can you get a picture and are you in it for the Long hall, they will refuse the first two appeals.
    Be happy...;)
