Six Nations and Rome

Hi
I would appreciate any help and advice with this.

I am looking for buy for my husband, tickets for the England v Italy Six Nations match in Rome on the 15th of March 2014.
There are still tickets, unless I am reading the ticket sites wrong.

However, I would also like to purchase flights (preferably from Birmingham) and a hotel for 3 nights, so that we can take in some of the sites too.

The way to go, seems to be a hotel and flights package, as flights on their own, seem to be extremely expensive. However, I can at this stage, only afford a deposit. Does anybody know, if any sites that offer packages, that you can just pay a deposit on, with the balance paid nearer the time of booking?

I've just spent about a hour, chatting with a rep from Expedia, who could not answer my question about this and kept trying to sell me a package. I guess she was being quite helpful but it wasn't what I asked at this stage.

Anyway, apologies, as I have been quite long winded and haven't meant to be.

I would appreciate any answers about this.

Many thanks

Plenty of sites will allow you to book accommodation with a deposit or pay nothing until you stop there but anything involving scheduled flights usually means immediate payment.

Priority one would be to get the match tickets booked. Once those are sorted then you can worry about getting there and finding somewhere to seep.

Don't worry. I think I've found the answer. It seems that Travel Republic offer a deposit.
Wishing everybody on Martin's site a great rest of the weekend!

Take a look at KLM and Swiss for cheaper flights with a change on the way.

Or Flybe to Milan and a train to Rome.

Thank you Opinions4u. I will take a look at those options!
  • Great to plan holiday like this. Your plan looks like awesome and you can make it more interesting by hiring a luxurious car to travel.

Thank you adamvore but I don't think that we will want a car.
    It's a nice idea though!
