  • Guys, theproblem is you are all being exploited. If the difference on the Photograph times are greater than the maximumstay then a ticket is issued. The same applies if the Driver of the vehicledidn`t pay for the length of time his vehicle was parked.

There couldbe as many as 600,000 tickets issued per year through out the UK.

I believethat on occasion human error could come into play. Although not in every case.

Theseparking companies are fully aware of the Human Error syndrome and have designedtheir parking system , in such a way, as to take advantage of this.. Abuse ofHuman Error and exploiting their weakness`s in order to make financial gain.

After all,if this parking company really wanted to help, they would use a system whichwould avoid these parking fines. Why notuse the system where a ticket is issued at the barrier before you enter the carpark. Then you pay on the wayout. Very little room for error. This system worksfine. So why not follow a similar system which works and avoids high number offines, paperwork and in some cases a visit to the magistrates court.

Because thissystem would interrupt their financial gain.

Also, therules and procedures display board, should be at the entrance to the car parkand of sufficient size to be noticed. And not in a location, where the driverhas to seek.

Reading the post immediately above yours and not hijacking an info thread would be a pretty good start!

Then read Post four of this thread for full info on DRP and take heed of the Scotland-specific info in other posts.
  • My friend had a private parking ANPR ticket for £60 from PCS and nominated me as the driver (correctly) and I duly received the same ticket. I sent them £35 with a covering letter which reads:

I refer to the Parking charge Notice above.

I was parked for 2 hours late on a Saturday evening whilst having dinner at the Metro opposite. I have pleasure in attaching a cheque for £35, which is the standard charge for a parking ticket in South Bucks, and is considerably more than the reasonable charge the 2012 Protection of Freedom Act calls for.

PCS have replied that they received my payment but that the account has progressed and the amount outstanding is £65 and must be paid within 14 days. I am prepared to go to court over this, but would GREATLY appreciate opinion as to whether I am likely to win the case!!!

  • Hi, I have just registered to this forum and dont know how to post a question. I just received a letter for a fixed charge notice with a reason of transferring a ticket from another vehicle, what happened was as soon as I parked a lady gave me her parking ticket because it still has an hour in it so I gladly accepted it and displayed it on my car and now I received this penalty notice, what should I do?
