Is this expensive ?

Thomson package holiday to Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana,Dominican republic.

Two weeks A/I going on Friday 30th may 2014 from London gatwick .

Price for two adults £1744 each.

Could go from any midlands airport and also anytime in June.

Any companies find a better deal?

I'd say £3500 for 2 weeks off-peak in a "developing country" is very expensive! I usually pay about that for 3 weeks in a "developed" country for 4 of us, in the school hols!

I think you would need to be sure that hotel was worth the extra £700pp that it seems to be compared to all of the other 4/5* in the Dominican at that same time. They seem to be around the £900-£1100 mark for the same period.

littlelady,i dont think it is expensive for a Secrets Hotel,we prefer to go to The Iberostar Grand Bavaro and pay a bit more.
The old fashion saying is you get what you pay for,and i can confirm that with the Grand Bavaro.
  • For a Secrets hotel, no this is not expensive. Secrets Hotels are like Sandals and they are adults only and classed as 'Ultimate All Inclusive' so you get premium branded drinks, a la carte dinners, 24 room service, water-sports, daily activities etc all included. Whether or not it's worth the extra £700pp compared to other all inclusives I don't know but would be worth looking at others and comparing the AI packages to see.
