Ranting here because Tesco customer service has been appalling!
My online order arrived this morning and the Fairy all in one 51 lemon tablets have been charged at £14 when they are advertised as an 'internet exclusive half price'.
http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=271058586
Ok it says they are half price at £14 (not £7 which is what I was expecting) but if 24 are £8.60 (36p each) , 34 are £12 (35p each) and 51 are £14 (28p each) how can £14 be half price???
That would mean 51 should be £28 reduced to £14 which makes no sense.
The woman I just spoke to cannot do maths!!!
I wrote this 10 mins ago and now have found someone to do the maths and refund the £7 overcharge!!!
What with the fact that I also ordered a £10 finest bouquet (needed as a present) and was substituted with a £3 bunch of flowers I am not a happy bunny!!!
I returned it and now as I rant to customer services about what is the point of delivery saver when I have to drive to Tesco again to get something she is sending me a £5 off voucher.
So ranting and complaining sometimes get results. Time for coffee now x

Were you charged £14 or £21 as you say you were refunded "the extra £7"?
If you were charged 14 and they gave you 7 back then they didn't have to do so as it is clearly priced at 14.
Completely agree with you re the flowers though!0 -

Tesco delivery is awful.
Sainsbury's are infinitely better. We were delivered an airwick refill that was faulty. Rang them, and they said they would send a refund by e-voucher. That didn't arrive so rang them back, they then sent the £3 voucher and an additional £10 voucher by way of apology. While I was on the phone, the gentleman also pointed out that I had an used £8 voucher from a year ago, and would I like that resending.
Great service, and hardly ever anything out of stock. Much better delivery drivers too...actually hand the bags to you rather than just dumping the crates at your feet like the Tesco drivers.0 -

The original link for the Fairy tablets now shows them as £14 but the offer ran out Sunday and when I looked at the website then it had an 'internet exclusive half price' banner on the page but still showed £14.
So the half price offer is £14 and the normal price today is £14 - they did not update the website with the revised £7 price and charged customers the full price even though advertised as half price.
The customer service rep said it was a website error so if anyone has brought them then they should ring up and get a £7 refund for an overcharge.
This is for Fairy and not Finish tablets. And at £7 a bag making them 14p each they are reasonably priced - if I buy the cheap Tesco own brand then they don't clean as well.
And today I got a price promise refund voucher for £2.59 by email so if I had been charged the correct price first of all I wouldn't have got this!
Just wanted others to know the website price error in case they are overcharged x0 -
I could be mistaken, but dont most of the supermarkets say that you are charged at the price an item is when it is delivered, not when it is ordered? so if an item is on offer until the 23rd for example, but you ask for delivery on the 24th you are charged at the price they are on the 24th? not saying it is right or wrong though0

Yep they do. It is the price on the day of delivery not the day you order. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550

On both the day I ordered and the day it was delivered it showed the 'internet exclusive half price' banner, it doesn't show the banner today as the offer expired Sunday.
What Tesco had not done was changed the price shown online from £14 to £7 during the offer.
Instead they advertised £14 during the offer and £14 after the offer but one said this was half price but clearly wasn't. Customer services eventually confirmed the website price error and it should have been £7.
Resolved eventually but others might have been overcharged thinking they would be charged £7 at the checkout.0
