Doubt it will -all other links from Virgin to the internet are fine still.

All you peeps that are having problems with just facebook rather than internet. If you are using Avast antivirus with Firefox, there seems to be an incompatibility with Avast's latest update and the Avast online security add-on (Firefox only) when accessing facebook.
If you go into add-ons option on Firefox and disable Avast online security, that may be causing the problem?

Looks like it is a problem with the DNS servers

It's certainly the link between Virgin and FB -It is more likely to be down to FB's servers as if it was Virgin's it would affect other sites too.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Which wouldn't explain why it also doesn't connect in IE though.
Adding the google DNS server worked nicely on Win7 though.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
