maybe their firewall is set to block it?
We have bluetooth on ours and you have to allow it in the firewall settings.0 -
hm i dont think the firewall is causeing the problem0

perhaps your work has disabled the port - is it a standalone pc at work or linked to others - if linked 0 that could be your problem0

I've had a couple of PCs which stopped working with USB flash rives in each case the driver had become corrupt if you remove or disable it then the next time you plug in it will reload the drivers and all should be wellTANSTAAFL !0

if the device is not recognised when you plug it in to your work machine - either the port on that pc is not connected, or it is disabled - as it works on your other machines its the pc not your disk - unless your work is not running XP then you may need to install via a driver disk0

That's a good point. If the work-based computers are running a different operating system, you may need to install the correct drivers first.
As found here:
"No driver required for Windows 2000/ME/XP, Mac OS 8.6, Mac OS X, Linux 2.4.0 or higher. Windows 98/98/Me/NT requires appropriate device driver."0 -
