If your appeal was upheld (won) then you should receive everything owed to you. It will have been explained in the decision they gave you. Only if something was outside the tribunal's jurisdiction would they suggest you write to ask for compensation. For example there are absolute time limits in law for backdating benefits. Even a tribunal cannot change this so if they feel you have been misled or there has been what is called maladmistration of your claim then sometimes the only way you will get recompense is to ask for this compensation. It is known as an 'ex gratia' or 'ex statutory' payment. If this is what you mean then you have to write to the manager of the office which dealt with your claim explaining why you think you are entitled. They don't make a decision, but they refer it to a special unit for consideration.
I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!
