There are 2 pub chains with MF I have done so far, one has been really nice food, the other has been, shall we say, interesting. I've also done pizza and have a Portugese inspired chicken place booked, only done one sm with them, there's a lot to like about them this Christmas, apparently. . . x hope this helps, can I PM you?

Thanks Mrs C. That would be good when you have the time. I'm trying to build a little list of contacts to get stuck into when I come back from my hols in Feb as will really need to get the pennies coming in then.

Well done usa1, SarahB and all the others doing so well this month - and chin-up to all like me not doing so well. We still have a few days left :)

I made £3.25 on surveys today but still no roadkill

Hope you all have a great Thursday

Going to add my £20 voucher from Tesco to my total as I would have to find that in cash for my day out so that makes my total £154.65......which means I have nearly hit my target for this month of £155!!
Also I am waiting for a payment from quidco at the end of the month of £45 so fingers crossed I get that......
Hope everyone is doing ok and merry xmas to you all xx
Sealed pot challenge 7...my number is 2144.....started Nov 29th ....
  • Morning all, I've just booked my OH's birthday present which annoyingly falls in January when I have no money!

So I used a £50 buyagift voucher that I got for writing a review of last years xmas present to put towards a 2 night hotel break which I'd been spying on and which had been reduced from £199 to £99! :money: so only actually cost me £49 :D

I've sprung for a couple of extras like an upgraded room and bringing the dog which totalled £60, giving a total cost of £109, but I used the hotels online booking form to see what it would have actually cost me including all the extras and it would have set me back £270!!!!

So I make that a saving of £161 :money:

Also after bugging my mum to spy on my brother for present ideas shes given me a bag of clothes shes bought him and doesn't want the money for them, instead she's asked for two lifts to parties so she can get merry and not have to worry about extortionate taxi fares! Not a bad deal eh? So that saved me a further £40!

And because my darling mothers birthday is the day before xmas eve we have to make a big fuss and get two significant presents, so this year me and the bro clubbed together and got her two canvasses from photobox, one of the two of us and one of her little dog. And being the MSE convert I am, I set up a whole new account to bag a belting introductory offer and score 50 free prints which I can use for someone else ;) The saving on the canvasses was £45 (essentially a BOGOF) but as I'm splitting the cost with my bro I'll only count my half, so another £22.50 :D

That gives me a total to add to the siggy of £223.50 ;)
