Barefaced Lies from TalkTalk sales?

Options
I've just spoken to someone at the TalkTalk 'sales' team. I was enquiring about the disruption that might be caused by having fibre optic broadband installed. The man I spoke to told me "it comes through the air so there's no disruption. We don't have to put any cables in because it comes through the air. If you go to another provider they will have to dig up your garden to put a new cable in because only ours comes through the air"

Completely stunned by this and needless to say I don't think I'll ever be doing any business with them!

Lol :rotfl:

I wonder if they meant that the cables are 'up in the air'.

Not around here they ain't. All underground where the moles and rats can chew them up.

When i had fibre installed i thought they were going to add an extra wire. All they did was change the box. To one that was identical to the one he removed.

That's because it's fibre to the cabinet, not fibre to the home. Cab to home remains as good old copper wire.

Lots of Tooth Fairies are unemployed because children no longer believe in them. As they have no skills to speak of, call centre work is ideal. They obviously assume an engineer visit is similar to a tooth fairy visit.

    Easy mistake.
