Lowell Portfolio (Mobile phone contract)

Basically when i was 16/17 i took out a mobile phone contract online with Tmobile. Loaned the phone to my brother and he ran the charges upto £90 and refused to pay. I couldnt afford it as i was at college and he wouldnt pay up. The bill then went to £176.52
Letters were sent from Tmobile but i could not afford them. Letters ranging from Money being owed and people coming to my house to reclaim it.
Basically after 2 and a half years with nothing being said, i received a letter today of Lowell Portfolio saying that my account has been sold to them by EE Limited (Formally Tmobile UK).
They want me to make some sort of arrangement within 7 days of the letter or they will send someone out. They stated i can either pay via month repayments or a single payment.
Went onto their wesbite to have a look and in both my Mozilla firefox and also internet explorer its coming up with a security risk.
Just thought id ask if i should pay it off or not?

You need to make up your mind whether you pay it or not. You'll get advice ranging from legal to moral but at the end of the day it will be your money and your credit rating that is affected.
I'm no expert but one thing that stands out for me is your age. If you were 16 then you couldn't legally enter into a credit agreement and it may not be enforceable.0 -

Lowell portfolio is a debt collection agency who've bought your debt.
Remember this debt will not go away until it's paid.0 -
They are nagging me by phone, I told the guy I had no intention of answering their "security" by giving my DOB to someone I haven't spoken with before and got really crappy with me. I just want them to write to meDFW £10923 (nov2014)0

I'm sure you'll get a letter from Lowell fairly soon (as in within the next week). They normally start off on the phone calls while the letter is being produced and wending its way to you.
Hold on, you said in your first post you had received a letter from them. In that case write back, tell them you won't deal with this on the phone, and ask them to proved the debt by sending you a copy of your original contract. In the meantime don't answer the phone to them0
