Cheque cashed items not received

Hi

I ordered a couple of items from a reputable company I have been using for many years, anyway the goods did not arrive so I rang the company, who said they did not know when the goods would be in. I then cancelled the order and they said they would sent my cheque back.

I have since found out they have cashed my cheque. I have tried ringing them - no reply and have written - also no reply. I am now a little worried. I have also searched for the company on the company check website and it states them as non trading. Is there any way I would be able to get my money back?

Who did you purchase from?

How long has it been since you ordered and when did you cancel/request a refund?

It doesn't say company dissolved though.
Do you want to post the company details so we can double check.

Finally got through they said they were exceptionally busy. They said they knew the cheque had been cashed as it was too late to stop it. However they hadn't let me know this. Anyway they said they will send out a refund. Whether they will remains to be seen.
