Plumbing Inspections

I am a landlord of a few properties in London, two of which require regular plumbing inspections because they are in high-rise blocks. The plumbers that inspect have set their own guidelines as to what is needed to pass an inspection, and then send estimates to fix the faults. So far, my plumbing has never been passed by them, and the service is costing me hundreds of pounds annually. The plumbers also collect well over £100 per apartment (paid though service charges) to carry out the inspection…and we're talking of over 500 apartments just in my two developments.

The service is contracted through one of UK's larger managing agents who we suspect may be benefiting from this deal.

How possible would it be to provide a British Gas Approach and charge an annual fee to inspect AND maintain plumbing, just to a level that prevents potential leaks from baths/toilets/sinks/washing machines etc.

I can reach out via email to thousands of local owners to promote a service like this.

who says you have to have regular plumbing inspections ? the only legal thing you have to have (as far as I'm aware) is a gas safety cert every 12 months

No amount of plumbing inspection is going to prevent a leak at a later time. it might pick up an odd weep somewhere, but that's about it. If you are getting unnecessary inspections done regularly, then you are probably wasting your money.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
