Transfer Mess Up (Electricity - EDF To Scottish)

I recently transferred from EDF to Scottish for electricity and gas. The problem is with former. I took meter readings as and when required and passed them on to Scottish, the new provider. Sure enough my account is now with Scottish.

At the time of transfer my EDF account was in credit to the tune of £120, although with the final bill taken into account I think I am due a refund of £70. There is a problem however, EDF refuse to give me a final bill. They are saying they have not received the final meter reading from Scottish. EDF also refuse to take the final meter reading from me, even though it was me who took it all along anyway for Scottish. Scottish of course are saying that they have sent the reading to EDF.

I am of course now stuck in the middle, one of the parties involved is either lying or incompetent. All I want is the refund which is rightfully mine.

Ideas regarding next steps would be appreciated?

Scottish Hydro/Gas/Power should have communicated the readings, but I'd send a complaint to both edf and Scottish Hydro/Gas/Power, can't be any harm in it.

I think I'll do that in writing as 4 phone calls have failed to deliver anything.

Eventually I got this resolved by calling EDF Customer Complaints, as opposed to Customer Services. As matters raised as formal complaints are subject to regulatory oversight, they are both willing and able to deal with matters. In fact it was actually a pleasure to deal with a young lady who knew what she was talking about and kept her word regarding resolution of the problem.
