i saw this on the e2save and they claim to be one of the best seller but can't match the figures.
Motorola V975 - 18 month contract
10 Months FREE Line Rental on Talk & Text 600 (18 month)
Your first 6 months will be billed at £15.00* by 3. 3 will then bill you at £30.00 per month for the remainder of your contract.
A further credit of £20.00 will be raised to your credit / debit card after 1 month if you do not cancel your contract. This may take up to 45 days to clear, you will receive a text message and/or e-mail when this credit has been successfully raised
To gain the remainder of your line rental / cash back please send your 6th and 12th monthly bills within 28 days of receipt to us and we will credit your credit/debit card with £95.00 each time.
*Line rental charge excludes any part month amount that may be billed in addition by the network.
cheers
you are right in saying the figures don't add up on this one as total charge before cash back is £450 (6m @£15 + 12m @£30) less cash back £210 (£20+£95 @ 6months redemption + £95 @ 12months redemption) = total payable over 18 months £240 so when counted up this way it looks like you are getting only 8 months free However if you look at an 18 month term of paying the full whack of £30 per month which would cost you £540, against what you will be charged for is £240 it creates a saving of £300 i.e. 10 months free. I know its a tricky way that they have worded this and maybe they have made a mistake and there's a further cash saving but think that the latter way of calculating the saving is the way they are advertising the offer? Maybe I'm wrong?0 -

Orange customer service did not activate the phone, was told this would be done by Carphone Warehouse group and true enough less that an hour later it was activated by an sms.0 -
hey guys, when u charge the battery, do u remove that tiny little clip at the bottom of the phone first? and then plug in the charger cable??
so that the tiny little clip is removed???0 -
yes, most samsungs are like that, charge for 4 hours on 1st charge0

I see posts saying that on D500 with E2save you can't downgrade the tariff after 6 months but with OSPS you can - can anyone help with where this info is on their website? or is this something one of their staff has said.
Thanks0 -
I would imagine that you could downgrade the tariff after 6 months, just read the T&C that came with the phone and it mentions no downgrades for 6 months however if you downgraded to Oranges cheapest tariff you will lose out on the cash back so no point as even Oranges cheapest option is not as cheap as £4.99 per month over 12 months0

may i ask how long does it take u guys to have the orange sim activiated??
and can this be done online? on orange website?
or it is necessary to call?0 -
I agree, they would be better to have a lug attached to it so that its still connected to the phone while unplugged for charging, my old NEC 616 had plastic cover over ports but did not detach completely when unplugged from charging port etc0

Just over an hour for me, and no contact with Orange needed, just switch it on and wait for the sms0
