Help - Outlook Desktop Calendar

Hi, bit of a plea for help here.

I've been using the Outlook calendar on my desktop outlook for a few years, but have never published it or linked it to an account - the calendar is the only thing I use outlook desktop for.

I've now got a tablet - is there anyway to sync my offline desktop calendar onto the tablet so I can edit using both?

Or is there a way to export my calendar from laptop to use in something on my tablet?

Many thanks.

I just started using this calender, i only wanted something simple but it seems to be able to save quite a lot.

I have done this, but cannot explain how.
You need a Windows Live account (was hotmail)
That gets you in to Outlook on line.
You need Outlook Connector on your pc(s). That links your pc Outlook with your on line 'Live' Outlook.
You then import your pc outlook into your Live Outlook.
From then onwards, you display your Live Outlook calendar/contacts/mail on your pc and make entries there. The MS server updates your live account by send/receive, so your online calander looks the same.
Other PCs with Outlook Connector can amend the calendar in the same way.
I have Windows Phone and enjoy having calendar/email/contacts amended from any device, but in-sync on all devices.
You can set up Live mail to import a copy of mail from another service. Then you have the security of a backup and the ease of viewing in one place.

I'm not using Outlook, but googling the term "export outlook calendar" gave me this link

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/outlook-help/transfer-calendars-between-outlook-and-google-calendar-HA010167495.aspx

Then you set up the Google Calendar on your tablet.

It will work, but you have to persevere. It took me days with iCal and Google Calendar to get them synching, and even now I'm not sure how I eventually got it working.
The process with Outlook appears very similar.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

He didn't mention an iPad anywhere, but on Google there is a help page how to set it up on iOS.

But I guess he has an Android, so it will be a walk in the park ;)
