Help need advise please!!

My daughter received a parking ticket from UKPCS in a pub car park I went online to their web site. I entered the issue number but found that they have made a mistake with the reg number of the vehicle and one of the digits has been incorrectly entered. I feel this is a invalid ticket and when they contact the DVLA will not get the correct vehicle or address can anybody advise on this situation as she is a student and can ill afford this expense.
Thanks :xmastree:

probably best to warn the keeper they may get an NTK and deal with it if that happens by way of a soft appeal to the PPC followed by a proper appeal to POPLA if the soft appeal is refused

assuming this is in england or wales of course
  • DO NOTHING until (unless?) you get a Notice to Keeper in the post. If the incorrect number matches some other car, someone else will get a nice ticket in the post, but that's not your problem.

Sooner or later, UKCPS may realise their error, and depending on whether they have a photo of the car or not, they may send a NtK. With luck, by the time that happens, it'll be too late to apply Keeper Liability.

Why would you go on that tacky website? Please tell us you weren't intending the actually tell her to PAY this were you, even if the reg number is right or if they write to her?! There are no VALID private parking tickets!!

If you get a Notice to Keeper then come back and read the newbies threads at the top of the forum about how to appeal and beat this at POPLA.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
