Hi,
I am a 26 year old Women who still suffers from spots. My skin in general is not that bad and I do not have bad acne. However my skin flares up and I get some really red angry looking spots on my chin or between my eyebrows. I have tried spot washes and other methods to try and get rid of these but nothing seems to work. I now just leave them and hope they totally disappear by themselves.
My question is can anyone recommend anything that will help?
I drink plenty of water everyday and my diet is quite good eat plenty of fruit and veg and I also workout.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Sudocrem applied when you go to bed (or in the day if your brave enough). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

perhaps they are hormone-related? do you get them at certain times of the month? The report button is for abusive posts, not because you don't like someone, or their opinions0

I'm of a similar age and have a similar problem. Very persistent spots (had acne from age 10!). I find vitamin A supplements help enormously.0

I've found that cutting a clove of garlic in half and pressing it on the spot for about 20 seconds helps. It stings like crazy, really reallly painful for a wee while but the next day the spot is reduced in size and horribleness.0

I still get the odd spot and I am 48. I have one on my forehead and one on my chin right now!
I put toothpaste on them overnight.0 -
Your GP can prescribe for you if you want to go down that route.0

someone recommended calamine lotion to me, tried it for a few nights and cleared up my skin0

Hi no I get them at anytime which is why it's so frustrating.0 -
Benzoyl peroxide gel or cream is very effective start at a 2.5% strength, and you can buy it from a high street chemist or one online if you cant get it locally, it's very cheap. I follow the regimen on acne.org which is a great site that shows you how to get your skin clear.
Despite being a life long healthy eating vegetarian, drinking lots of water and taking regular exercise I still got spots, and this is what works for me.0
