Natwest debit cards

Hi

This is just a question and its doesn't effect me, but do Natwest issue different debit cards for different current accounts?

They seam to have "select account", "Select silver", "Select platinum" & "Black" current accounts.

On their website it makes it clear that the black account comes with a black debit card, but do the other three accounts just come with the standard purple card?

Thanks

Alex

  • Nope you don't always get the purple card, the service card as its called (the purple one) is credit scored if they trust you enough with an ofline card then you will get the purple card.

If they don't trust you enough you will get the blue coloured card, which is an online card. This means it will always dial home and check you have available funds in your account before authorising your payment. If there isn't enough then the transaction will be declined.

So you could have a select platinum account but only be allowed to have the blue online card!!!
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.
