Problem with Kaspersky on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help please?
My son has had Kaspersky on his tablet for a year now and it's never been a problem. He's just brought it to me and said he has updated the tablet, I've asked if he means the version of Android, but he's not sure and now Kaspersky won't work. Every 10 seconds, the following error message pops up "Unfortunately Kaspersky Mobile Security has stopped".
I can't seem to stop it or uninstall Kaspersky either.

I think I'm on my way to solving this...needed to deactivate it first and now it's letting me uninstall!0
