Have you received an invoice for your overpayment yet?
Provide all your wage slips for the period of the overpayment and claim underlying entitlement this might reduce the overpayment if you still qualify for hb throughout the overpayment period.
I see a lot of o/p and not many go to court as stated previously it's only the blatant massive o/p that are usually prosecuted, if it was a genuine error they will usually accept it and allow you to make an arrangement to repay it.

I explained to them that when I updated my changes with WTC they indeed had notified them and that I had also sent written confirmation to them which unfortunately they had no records of. With every change I have made with WTC they have passed the details onto the local authority.

HMRC don't liaise with Local Authorities they only send updated Tax Credit amounts via ATLAS. They wont inform a local authority that your wages have increased/decreased that is your responsibility.

Invoice for overpayment has arrived. It was less than fifty so I paid but it has been over a week now and not heard from fraud team as what they say. They have also not returned my wage slips. I really want to move on but can't.
Has anyone else gone through this?

I can't find any post office receipts about letters I sent last year about my change of job which has cause me to get really worked up. So much so I did a calculator thing it suggest that I have been overpaid about £3000. If this is right then I will happily pay it back.
    Will I go to courts?
I think "I will happily pay it back" answers your own question.

Move on you have paid - you have no black mark and no comeback so forget it... (I deal with the fraud guys every day so trust me it is done)
