Parking Eye - parking charge notice

I know there are lots of posts on this & I've read quite a few of them (inc. the newbies one) but am still very confused!
I received a PCN from Parking Eye today for an overstay of 49mins at a retail park car park on 16 Nov. It was match day for the local football team and parking is restricted to 1hr 30mins.
The departure photo is awful, pitch black with the car numberplate in the bottom right-hand corner!
Do I have to suck it up & pay?
Thanks.

if you read the newbies thread then clearly you should know the answer to this
you did not mention which region it was but for E+W read the sticky threads again and appeal it0 -

you may think its rude but to me its obvious , but its also obvious that it also depends on your location, which you did not give and still havent given
either you pay up or you fight it , and the sticky threads make this quite clear
the problem is that you need to decide on if you are willing to do so , and if that means court then sobeit
or as you say "suck it up and pay it"
only you can decide , but unless you are in Scotland or Ulster then ignoring it is not an option
there are dozens of threads a day like yours from people who want free help, that help is all there already in the various sticky threads
so I tell it the way it is , for clarity , this isnt facebook and I dont want to befriend you or anyone else, you have been here 5 years so have had ample opportunity to check this out too
advise yes, maybe so, but you only have yourself to blame for getting into this predicament, the problem you are asking us is for our opinion and you were given that opinion based on the little info you provided
fight or pay (or ignore and take the consequences)0 -
I find the above comment quite rude. Even though I have read the thread, I did say I was still confused! I came on here for help and thought that people would be friendly but clearly not!
We are friendly, but overworked. Coiupon-mad took a fair bit of time and effort to prepare a simple(ish) guide here in the stickies https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822
I contend that this answers your question that you raised. Obviously if there are other specific points that you need help with, then we will help, but your question was "Do I have to suck it up & pay?" and the answer you got was not, in my opinion, rude.
You might find this next bit rude, but it is not intended to be. If you can't understand the link I gave you, then the answer to your question is "Yes, it is better that you pay and take the reduced fee".
If, on the other hand, you do read the link and are prepared to work with us, then the answer is "No".

Oh come on! You actually said 'Do I have to suck it up & pay?'!!!!!!
Perhaps you should read the newbies thread again now you have time over the weekend. It's hardly difficult to appeal online and win at POPLA seeing as we have written so many winning POPLA appeals and there are links to everything you need here on the forum.
And it was a retail park - did the 'Successful complaints about PPCs' sticky thread confuse you as well or did you miss that one?
Sometimes I wonder why I bother?!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
