Ask the network provider that its locked to.

Lots of dodgy sites claim to unlock them yet will vanish with your money.

Your best taking it to a shop that advertises unlocks for phones, for around £10 they should be able to unlock it for you. As above, there are too many dodgy websites offering false promises.

I suggest you read some of the other threads on here about unlocking iPhones

'Legally' you can only get the network to do it, many of the other sites will unlock, but it will re-lock when you next connect to iTunes

Having said that, Orange are notoriously BAD at unlocking iPhones!!!
  • There is no way to unlock an iPhone without Jailbreaking it as unlike other phone manufacturers it is Apple themselves that maintain the network locks remotely and not a piece of software on the phone - each time it syncs with iTunes or the cloud it checks its status.

You can jailbreak it but that is a fairly drastic decision as it very much changes your phone.

Ultimately speak to Orange and get them to do it - they notify apple that its been released and then next time the phones synced it automatically unlocks. There are stories online of AppleCare occasionally being willing to unlock it if you can substantiate that your network are being unreasonable but there are many more people saying they couldnt convince apple to do it than could
  • My iPhone was with Orange, and they charged £18 to unlock it. Never had a problem with it since.
