Possible sanction at the Jobcentre.

No I haven't and I have no idea where you've got that from. In my post I said I've only been claiming JSA since finishiinterviewsversity. Plus I do have a paid job, with a second one due to start in a number of weeks.
Even those under-25 only need to be claiming JSA for 12 months to be referred to a Work Programme provider.
Of course I expect the long-term unemployed to be asked to attend intensive job searching sessions. I have no problem with that. My bemusement was because of a clear error. I was referred to the advisor to discuss my interview situation and NOT to have an intensive jobsearch. There was no discussion about my interview at all so, as far as I'm concerned, these alleged "anomalies" remain.
And not that it is any of your business, but the reason why I've been unemployed this long is not because I'm unemployable or require support. It's because I thought I needed more voluntary work experience in the charity sector (my chosen career sector) so spent the first few months applying for survival jobs, which were few and far between. It was only when getting through to a final graduate assessment centre that I realised the experience and skills I have already is sufficient, so began applying for graduate jobs. Since then I've had five interviews and two job offers.
Sorry that's incorrect under 25's are referred to the work programme at 39 weeks over 25's at 52 weeks. Prison leavers abd a few others are referred from day 1.
Just to clarify a question you raised earlier. The jobcentre can refer you for a sanction yes. They do not need permission from the work programme provider. As long as a doubt is there it can be referred.
In my opinion the reason you had too see an advisor would have been a potential availability issue, if someone continually had appointments/ interviews at there signing times then it may flag up a potential doubt0 -
Did they tell you that? - arrange job interviews whenever the employer wants to see you, they take priority. Just make sure you keep the employer email/letter
If the Jobcentre have told you to come in to them instead of going to a confirmed interview I would sack whoever did that so complain.
Just to make it clear, the adviser yesterday said that it's best I try and avoid arranging job interviews on days I sign on. But this is still different to "Don't come and sign on instead of attending an interview".
When informing the jobcentre of interviews in advance they've always been fine.Sorry that's incorrect under 25's are referred to the work programme at 39 weeks over 25's at 52 weeks. Prison leavers abd a few others are referred from day 1.
Sorry, I know that. It was just a mistake when typing. I meant to type over-25s, not under.Just to clarify a question you raised earlier. The jobcentre can refer you for a sanction yes. They do not need permission from the work programme provider. As long as a doubt is there it can be referred.
Right, thanks. A couple of months ago I did read some guidance notes from the DWP regarding sanctions, and they did state that a sanction recommendation cannot come from the jobcentre if the customer is on the Work Programme. However, I can't seem to find this document again. I made no attempt to bookmark this as I was looking for something else at the time. So this is why I was uncertain. In my opinion the reason you had too see an advisor would have been a potential availability issue, if someone continually had appointments/ interviews at there signing times then it may flag up a potential doubt
Yes, and although I resent any suggestion that I'm being dishonest, I understand that.
What I don't understand is why, on the first appointment with an adviser, my reasons for not making two previous sign on appointments haven't been discussed. Instead it seems the reason why I've missed them has been assumed to be negative and they want ahead with changing my jobseekers agreement and arranging further adviser appointments.0
