Travel insurance

A friend of ours had her suitcase lost on their return journey to UK.
The Insurance company have said that return travel is not covered.
Is this true? for all travel insurance?

is it a single travel cover....

most of them are 8 days or 15 days......

never heard of what you are saying in my life need more info?

It is definitely not true of all travel insurance also if you travel with an EU airline as there is an EU directive that states the airline must compensate you for lost or damaged baggage.

I suggest your friend reads the small print of the policy to see if she can dispute her turned down claim.

Some policies don't cover lost baggage or delays on the return journey - in the case of lost baggage on your return journey from your holiday you wouldn't be able to claim the replacement of essential items as it would on your outwrd travel.

check the cover for whatever insurance provider

How misleading this is, I had bye pass surgery 11 years ago and touch wood havnt had any problems since and they didn't want to know!

Offer a quote within minutes (indicates a short period) incorrect facts again.

The mse web site is highly regarded and people like this shouldnt put up stuff like this
when they obviously dont do what they say, if I could be bothered clearly a case for trading standards

Given that this is OT fromm OP thought I'd investigate..... did you read the FAQ?

Stated in their FAQ Q2 and Q3:
