Do I need to pay the high rate Child Benefit Charge

I Currently earn 48k a year and I thought I would not need to pay the charge as I earn less than 50k
I have now recieved two letter from HMRC so I checked today and because of my company car and Fuel benefit which is roughly 9K a year I have to.
Does this sound right? Always how do you pay it?
Any help would be great
